So while I was playing taxi dad earlier, I drove by the First Congregational United Church Of Christ on Pulteney street here in Corning and saw a sign in the front that read 'Happy Ramadan to our Muslim neighbors'. I really thought that was awesome of them to be hospitable to other religions. I looked them up when I got back to see this on their Facebook page:
"No matter who you are, or where you are on life's journey, we welcome you!"
In a time when it seems so many churches are negative and anti this and anti that, it is refreshing to see one that is pro unity and inclusiveness. I may have different philosophies religion wise but I give respect where it is due, and it is definitely due here. I'm proud to have them in town.Added January 11, 2017 by Dale Wright
